Die neue deutsche Staatsform, nach dem ersten Weltkrieg, war die sogenannte Weimarer Republik. Man hat diesen Namen gewдhlt, weil die neue Staatsform in der Historischen deutschen Stadt Weimar, ausgearbeitet wurde. Ausserdem in dem 18. und 19. Jahrhundert war die Stadt ein Zentrum fьr die deutsche Kultur, mit dem sich Namen wie Goethe und Schiller verbanden. Auch war es der Sitz der deutschen Nationalversammlung von 1918 bis 1920. der erste Prдsident von der Weimarer Republik war der Sozialist Friedrich Ebert, ein Mann aus dem Volk. Wдhrend seiner Amtszeit gab es das enorme Problem der Links und Rechtsextremisten. Hitler war Mitglied einer rechtsextremen Gruppe. Die chaotische situation in Deutschland gab Hitler seine Chance.
