Judaism is an interesting religion worth looking into for those who are interested

in learning about other religions. The majority of Jews accept Christianity, and Jesus Christ.

The basic intent of the Jewish teaching is a massage of tolerance, morality, peace, and human

dignitiy. “Judaism beleives that the purpose of Jewish existance is nothing less than to perfect the world under

the rule of G-d”… There are several resons why Jewish beleivers are comfronted wiht less logical problems

then oof those of the christian faith. The people of the Jewish fathg never ahd to deaal with the logical

inconsistancities of the New Testament. Theses scriptures are called Tonakh by the Jews, and to the Jews the

Tonakh is there bible.

The Jews believe that the christian bible was poorly transulated from teh Hebrew orginial.

Example: christian-Thou shall not murder.(which implies that even killing in self defense is wrong)

Jewish-Thou shall not murder. That is there translation. The Tanakh, is divided into 3 parts:

1.Torah: This includes the 5 books of moses.

2.Nebi’im: called the prophets. Includeing the books Joshua,Judges,Samuel, and Kings.

3.Ketubim:called the writeings. This includes most of the old testament, excludeing Maccabes

but including Chronicles.

There are a total of 613 commandments. Although many of these commandments are no longer

applicable. Many of the Jewish fallowers consider the Ten Commandments to be the major contribution of the

Jewish people to hummanity’s conseption of ethics.

“Those who wish to seek out the causes of miracles, and to understand the things of nature as philosophers, and not stare at them in astonishment like fools, are soon considered heretical and impious and proclaimed as such by those whom the mob adore as the interpreters of nature and the gods. For these men know that once ignorance is put aside, that wonderment would be taken away which is the only means by which their authority is preserved.” [1](– Baruch Spinoza)
