Canadians And Americans Essay, Research Paper
Canadians and Americans There is much that has distinguished the Canadian experience as different from thatwhich has, and continues to, define the American experience. At first glance, superficiallyCanada and the United States share many aspects in common, for as one comedian oncestated “Canadians are just unarmed Americans with health care”, and for the most part, this is the common belief, as viewed by other nations in this world. Realistically, if onlythe slightest morsel of research were embarked upon, the evidence to verify the fact that
these nations are actually very distinct, would be overwhelming. To fully research andunderstand every difference would simply be infeasible, but to obtain, a general knowledgeof these differences is uncomplicated. Stemming simply from the differing historical birthsof these two countries many differences have developed, ranging from the governmental, and political values, to the citizens and the beliefs they have towards law/authority, andsocial values (such as attitudes towards individual freedoms / multiculturalism) , theevident differences between these nations is staggering.
