Uno de mis artistas favoritos es Vincent Van Gogh. Estoy seguro de que lo primero en que muchos pueden pensar al yo decir su nombre , es el famoso incidente de cuando ?l, se corto su oreja o mejor dicho el l?bulo izquierdo y se lo regal? a una prostituta.
Van Gogh naci? en en 1853 en Holanda.
Van Gogh tuvo un hermano , llamado Theo. Su hermano fue la persona m?s importante en su vida y fue quien cuid? de Vincent hasta el fin de sus d?as.
La verdad de quien fue Vincent Van Gogh est? plasmada en sus pinturas,
vivo retrato de sus sentimientos.
En su juventud Vincent quiz? dedicarse al ministerio, y seguirle los pasos a su padre. Pero a sus 27 a?os decidi? ser art?sta. El arte se convirt? en su pasi?n y su especial realidad.
Vincent empez? haciendo bocetos de los mineros y los campecinos, haciendo estudios y copiando obras de otros artistas.
De adulto ?l fue maestro de sus t?cnicas y su estilo. Domin? con gran habilidad el uso de texturas, tonos y formas en sus pinturas.
Al comienzo de su carrera como pintor sus pinturas eran oscuras como por ejemplo
? Los comedores de papas? pintura considerada como obra maestra de su primer p?riodo
A sus 32 a?os se mud? a Paris en febrero de 1886.
Por primera vez Vincent fue expuesto al mundo de Monet, Degas, Cezanne, Gauguin, el Impresion?smo, Puntill?smo, Simbol?smo, Arte Japon?s y todo lo dem?s que exist?a en el apartamento de Theo por ser este agente de arte.
En paris Van Gogh descubri? un nuevo estilo, lleno de vivos colores. Aqui comenz? a pintar cafees, autoretratos, interiores , paisajes,( paisohes) naturaleza muerta, etc.
En 1888 el estado emocional de Vincent comenz? a debilitarse. Se mud? a Arles, pueblo al sur de Francia.
En Arles fue donde pinto sus pinturas mas famosas como ?Los girasoles? , La noche estrellada?, Etc. Los colores fueron el sujeto de sus pinturas como pueden apreciar aqui
( Ejemplos).
Gracias a la intervenci?n de Theo, Gauguin se mud? con Van Gogh en Arles.
Depu?s de un tiempo, la tensi?n entre los dos artistas fue tanta, que Gauguin decidi? irse. En una crisis mental o de temperamento Vincent se corta su l?bulo izquierdo lo que le cost? la estad?a en una instituci?n mental.
Ya para el 1890 dej? el asilo Saint Remy y regres? a Paris donde conocio al doctor Gatche. El doctor le daba servicios profecionales a Van Gogh a cambio de sus pinturas.
A la edad de 37 a?os Vincent Van Gogh se suicid?. Aunque su carrera como pintor s?lo dur? 10 a?os sus creaciones llegaron a ser m?s de mil setecientas. En su vida s?lo vendi? una obra por $80 hoy d?a sus obras cuestan m?s de ochenta y cinco millones de d?lares. Para mi Vincent Van Gogh no era un loco de la vida mas bien una persona adelantada en el tiempo y un genio del arte.
