Book Report
The book I chose to read is called The Hardy Boys: the Secret panel. The main characters in this novel are the two Hardy Boys, Frank and Joe. Frank is a year older than Joe, and makes much smarter decisions. Joe likes to take risks and do things without thinking first.
This book is set in the city of Bayport, U.S.A. Frank and Joe are the sons of a famous detective and are trying to become just like him. Their Dad tells them about a case hes working on involving a gang robbing electronic’s stores, and sending the stolen items down to California. They are anxious to join their dad on this case, but he says he can handle it himself. This doesn’t stop them, though. They pick up lots of clues, and eventually follow a convertable to the thieve’s hideout in an old abandoned mansion. They get caught, tied up and put in a secret room which also held all the stolen merchandise. Eventually the boy’s father arrived at the hideout and rescued them, and also caught the thieves.
I thought this book was well-written and exciting. The only part that seemed strange is that it was written in the 1960’s, so it was a bit outdated. I would reccomened this book for people who can stand reading long novels, but other people would probably not like it.
