Motherless Brooklyn Essay, Research Paper
Motherless Brooklyn is about crime-scene detective Lionel Essrog. Lionel becomes diagnosed with Tourette?s syndrome. He?s unable to refrain from shouting obscene words to people who pass him on the street or he compulsively tabs people on the shoulder as he passes. After the murder of his boss, Frank Minna, Lionel and four of his friends set out to find the killer. While searching, the four friends begin to turn on one another and the group slowing diminishes.
Lionel begins to see hints and clues about some of his former friends and questions them about the murder. He finally discovers that Minna?s partner is also his murderer.
I would recommend this book to people who enjoy crime scenes and books about detectives. It starts out slow, but once you read into it a bit, it gets more interesting.
