С помощью Дона Доккена группа выпустила на своем лейбле мини-альбом "Out Of The Night", разошедшийся тиражом в 20000 копий, чем и привлекла внимание "EMI Records".
Диск, разошедшийся тиражом более одного миллиона экземпляров, включал в себя такие хиты как "Rock Me", "Lady Red Light" и "Save Your Love". "Twice Shy" и "Hooked", получившие платину, закрепили успех "Great white".
Следующий альбом "Let It Rock" вышел на лейбле "Imago", после чего "Great white" подписали контракт с "Portrait Records".
