Речь здесь не идет о постоянном контроле, сдерживании участников и желании организаторов вместо специального мероприятия разыграть сценку из любительского театра. Контроль в нашем случае - это, прежде всего, инструмент, который помогает сгладить острые углы и довести проект до положительного финала.
Да, сам этот термин у большинства людей вызовет скорее негативные эмоции, чем положительные, но в деле специальных мероприятий вообще и виртуальных специальных мероприятий в частности куда важнее эмоций прагматизм и расчет, и здесь без контроля в той или иной форме точно не обойтись.
Перед тем, как начать, напомним несколько основных мыслей:
виртуальность как платформа для проведения специальных мероприятий диктует ряд специфичных правил и ограничений, с которыми организаторам подобных проектов приходится считаться;
в рамках virtual events организаторам стоит тратить больше сил для того, чтобы не потерять внимание аудитории;
на виртуальном специальном мероприятии сложнее обеспечить полноценную обратную связь, должную интерактивность проекта;
разработка раздаточных материалов для virtual events также имеет свою специфику, но она может иметь как негативные стороны, так и положительные;
взаимодействие между выступающими персонами и аудиторией на виртуальных специальных мероприятиях строятся по несколько иным законам, нежели в рамках классических.
Контроль над аудиторией в рамках онлайновых специальных мероприятий является общим проблемным местом для таких проектов, и с ним рано или поздно сталкивается любой организатор виртуального ивента. Однако для того, чтобы вывести какие-то методики или озвучить советы, следует разобраться, что же именно понимается под контролем над аудиторией на виртуальных специальных мероприятиях.
Что такое контроль
Более того, почти все event-специалисты в один голос утверждают, что мнение, будто контроль над аудиторией в рамках virtual events вовсе не нужен (один из доводов - онлайновый формат предполагает полную свободу его участников), ошибочно и губительно. Существует огромное количество различных примеров, когда виртуальные мероприятия попросту "сходили с ума", а впоследствии оставляли длинный негативный шлейф за организатором на протяжении многих лет.
Приведу довольно простой пример из жизни. Автору настоящего материала как-то раз пришлось лично принимать участие в некоей онлайновой конференции очень известного публичного человека, имя которого оставим за рамками статьи. Там организаторами проекта не было принято практически никаких мер, даже самых простых, по контролю над аудиторией. В итоге через каких-то пять-семь минут в чате (отметим, что формой конференции был чат, где общение проходило в режиме реального времени) творилось такое, что организаторы вместе с выступающей персоной успели, наверное, тысячу раз пожалеть о своем решении. Добавим, что порядок затем все-таки был наведен при помощи экстренных мер (на скорую руку "прикрученная" модерация), но, как в анекдоте, осадок остался.
Как осуществлять контроль
Итак, о первом (одном из самых эффективных) и, по мнению большинства, единственном инструменте контроля аудитории в рамках виртуальных специальных мероприятий мы уже вскользь упомянули в предыдущей части материала. Это модерация. Причем принимать она на virtual events может совершенно разные формы. Самый распространенный на сегодняшний день вид модерации в рамках онлайновых специальных мероприятий - так называемая премодерация. Ее суть заключается в том, что все сообщения от участников мероприятия вначале проверяются специалистом, и только затем появляются в "прямом эфире". У подобного подхода есть свои плюсы и, конечно же, свои минусы. Из преимуществ выделим: полный контроль над происходящим вне зависимости от количества участников и масштаба проекта. Что же касается недостатков премодерации, то, в первую очередь, стоит отметить падение скорости информационного потока, что в ряде ситуаций даже хорошо (см. ниже), на мероприятии, а также некоторую субъективность условного пропуска/непропуска тех или иных сообщений.
В то же время премодерация позволяет контролировать не только саму аудиторию и то, что она говорит, но и интенсивность информационного потока. Это особенно актуально, если мы говорим о проектах среднего и большого масштаба. В качестве примера приведу Adventure Developer Online Conference 2005, где форматом была, как видно из названия, конференция, а в качестве инструмента использовались обыкновенные веб-форумы. Там случались такие моменты, когда на ивенте присутствовало до нескольких сотен участников одновременно, а выступающим персонам, разумеется, было крайне затруднительно общаться со всеми одновременно. Поэтому модераторы помимо отслеживания спама и сообщений, содержащих нецензурные выражения, управляли еще и потоком сообщений, которые поступали к выступающим персонам, так, чтобы те успевали отвечать на них.
Разумеется, все вышесказанное имеет применимость в рамках именно текстовых форматов онлайновых мероприятий и теряет свою актуальность, как только мы начинаем говорить о различных видах видеоконференций, но там - уже совсем другая история. В подобных проектах, как правило, аудитории вообще не дают такой свободы, как на "текстовых" ивентах: то есть, рядовые участники могут лишь сидеть и смотреть, и, возможно, задавать вопросы, но опять же с помощью текста. В любом случае, организаторы видеоконференций, как правило, по умолчанию лишены особых проблем с контролем над аудиторией.
Напоследок хотелось бы добавить еще одну мысль. Сегодня можно нередко услышать расхожее мнение, будто виртуальные специальные мероприятия неуправляемы и похожи скорее на снежную лавину, несущуюся с вершины Эвереста, чем на проект, приносящий пользу нашему бизнесу. Давать опровержение на несколько абзацев в рамках настоящего материала, который, к тому же, подходит к концу, мы не будем. Но отметим, что порой ведущего себя неадекватно человека удалить с классического special event бывает затруднительно, и такие ситуации почти всегда сказываются на имидже проекта. В рамках же онлайнового ивента нам достаточно сделать лишь одно нажатие кнопки, и нежелательный участник будет отключен без какого-либо видимого негативного эффекта для мероприятия. А в следующем, заключительном материале речь пойдет обо всех остальных моментах, которые стоит учитывать во время работы с аудиторией на virtual events: специфика разработки раздаточных материалов, взаимодействие между аудиторией и выступающими персонами, плюс кое-что еще.
