heard a Fly buzz
I heard a Fly buzz -- when I died – (Я услышала, как жужжит муха,
The Stillness in the Room (Недвижность в
Was like the Stillness in the Air – (Было
Between the Heaves of Storm – (Между
The Eyes around -- had wrung them dry –
And Breaths were gathering firm (И дыхание
For that last Onset -- when the King
Be witnessed -- in the Room – (Был бы засвидетельствован = появится в комнате.)
I willed my Keepsakes -- Signed away
What portion of me be
Assignable -- and then it was (Передана – и
There interposed a Fly – (Вмешалась муха)
With Blue -- uncertain stumbling Buzz –
Between the light -- and me – (Между светом
And then the Windows failed -- and then (А
I could not see to see – (Я не могла видеть, чтобы видеть=понять).
I heard a Fly buzz -- when I died --
The Stillness in the Room
Was like the Stillness in the Air --
Between the Heaves of Storm --
The Eyes around -- had wrung them dry --
And Breaths were gathering firm
For that last Onset -- when the King
Be witnessed -- in the Room --
I willed my Keepsakes -- Signed away
What portion of me be
Assignable -- and then it was
There interposed a Fly --
With Blue -- uncertain stumbling Buzz --
Between the light -- and me --
And then the Windows failed -- and then
I could not see to see --

Great Expectatons Essay, Research Paper The statement “Children should be seen and not heard,” is an extreme. The statement itself, targets young children as being lesser human being than their elders and having thoughts irrelevant to society. In Dicken’s “Great Expectations” it is evident that the adults of that era do not wish to hear anything Pip has to say and become very indignant if he dares to venture a thought on any matter, ask a question or speak out of turn.

Confronting Death In Poetry Essay Research Paper
Raised fists and a fading smile usually follow the confrontation of death as we experience the first stages of denial in the grieving process. We not only grieve at the loss of a loved one, but at the loss of our own life as well. When death rears its ugly head, it demands this response. Whether through art or science, humor or ritual, mankind marks and confronts this passage with both defiance and trepidation that eventually turns into acceptance and submission.
