Poem: My Journey Essay, Research Paper
My Journey
My journey through Nature’s community,
A community of green
Aging giants of nature.
Standing in brown dead needles,
Gift wrapped in dark, rough bark.
The white cold powder
Frozen hard by the bitter cold,
Does not give in to weight,
And lies still as a rock.
While glistening in the sun.
A snow covered log
Being smothered by melting frost,
Lies awkward and twisted
While at peace with nature.
The bright, orange sun
May rise in the east early,
But now ‘tis settling,
Settling in its final location.
Small, black winged flying machines
Gently landing in the white terrain,
Break nature’s soothing silence
In order to communicate with each other,
Necessary for their survival.
My journey ends,
Bidding farewell to the aging giants,
The cold powder, the peaceful and subtle log,
The settling orange sun, and the flying machines.
Finally saying good by to nature herself,
At peace forever.

Man Sized Job Essay Research Paper ManSized
Man Sized Job Essay, Research Paper Man-Sized Job was written by Sharlot Hall (1870-1943). It is a poem that defines a woman?s work from a man?s point of view. Poems like this were uncommon in the late 1800?s ? early 1900?s, especially if women wrote them. The two aspects of this poem that I would like to analyze are the vocabulary used and the male chauvinistic point-of-view.

Journey Essay Research Paper A journey on
Journey Essay, Research Paper A journey on a river often has symbolic meaning, and in the movie ?Black Robe,? this classic scene of a river journey is no different. A river journey can represent a change in one?s life, maybe not only a physical change, but also a mental and spiritual change. Traveling from one part of a river to another part is like traveling from one state of mind to another state, a passage into something new and different.
