Филипп Вайландт (р. 14 января 1967) родился и провел свое детство в Нью-Джерси.
С 14 лет он начал осваивать гитару, а в 18 уже играл в различных бандах.
Начиная со своей бытности в одной из таких команд, "Zyris", Джеффри
начал именовать себя Закари Вайландом. Группа исполняла как свой материал, так
и каверы " Black Sabbath" и " Led zeppelin". Пока парень
разминался таким образом, у Оззи Осборна возникла потребность в гитаристе.
Каким-то образом Закку Вайлду удалось попасть к нему на прослушивание, а вскоре
он узнал, что его берут в группу "Великого и Ужасного".
Дебют
Закка состоялся на альбоме Осборна "No rest for the wicked", на
котором он сумел показать настоящим мастером гитары. Вайлд сопровождал Оззи
вплоть до 1993 года, участвуя во всех турах и сессиях. В 1994-м Закк вместе с
группой "Pride & glory" записал альбом, представлявший собой
смесь кантри, южного рока, блюза и хэви-метал. Эта команда собиралась сделать
еще концертник, но вскоре распалась. В 1995-м Оззи вновь призвал Закка под свои
знамена.
Однако
Вайлд старался использовать каждую свободную минуту для написания и отработки
своих песен. В результате в турне "Ozzmosis" вместо него поехал Джо
Холмс, а сам Закк с помощью других музыкантов записал альбом "Book of
shadows", а затем отправился на гастроли в Японию. В 1998 году Вайлд
вместе с барабанщиком Филом Ондичем приступил к записи альбома "Sonic
brew", вышедшего под вывеской "Black label society". Первый
релиз пластинки появился в Японии и лишь спустя продолжительное время – в
Штатах. Но что за группа из двух человек? Для гастрольной деятельности были
рекрутированы гитарист Ник Катанезе и бывший басист "Pride &
glory" Джей Ди.
В
такой конфигурации команда начала свое турне с выступления в Токио и закончила
появлением на европейском фестивале "Dynamo open air '99".
Американские даты по какой-то причине были отменены, а "Black label
society" тем временем переиздали свой альбом, добавив туда в виде бонуса
композицию "No
more tears 2000". Только
после этого группа смогла порадовать своих соотечественников несколькими
концертами.
Последующей
зимой Закк и Фил готовили материал для второго лонгплея, "Stronger than
death". Джей Ди тем временем отбыл, а его место занял Стив Гибб по
прозвищу "S.O.B.", сын Барри Гибба из " Bee Gees". После
выхода пластинки вновь состоялись американско-японские гастроли. Во время этого
тура у Ондича раздуло щеку, и он, будучи не в состоянии играть из-за
невыносимой боли вынужден был подмениться Крэйгом Нуненмачером. Когда Фил
все-таки поправился, у него произошла стычка с Закком, и ударник хлопнул
дверью. Таким образом Нуненмачер стал постоянным членом "Black label
society". После выхода концертника "Alcohol fueled brewtality"
команду покинул Стив Гибб, а его место занял бывший басист Оззи Осборна и
" Alice in chains" Майк Инез. Правда он продержался недолго,
поскольку был связан контрактом с другой группой. "Black label
society" на концертах выручил другой "подельник" Оззи, Роб
Траджилло.
В
2001 году Закк вновь помогал Осборну записывать альбом и даже предложил тому
несколько своих песен, но тот от них отказался. Часть этих треков впоследствии
вошла на очередной диск "Black label society" "1919
eternal". Ну а в 2003-м в свет вышел четвертый студийник "BLS",
причем на одном из треков "погостил" сам Оззи.
