Merchant Of Venice Essay, Research Paper
Merchant of Venice displays many different types of
human nature. Included in these are love, revenge, mercy,
and prejudice.
Love is shown in many different parts of M. of V. There is
the love between Antonio and Bassanio which is present
throughout the play. For example, in Act I Sce 3, Antonio
shows his love for Bassanio by risking one pound of his own
flesh so that his dear friend could properly court Portia.
The bond between the two men was so strong that either man
would willingly agree to such a deal.
This willingness to die for a loved one is not unique to
this play. I ll give you an example you can relate to. I
want you to close your eyes and get the picture of someone
you care about i
