1) Simon prevents a gang from killing him by persuading them to let him go.
2) I don’t think that most people would have done what Simon did. What he did took a lot of courage and I don’t think that most people are willing to put their life at risk for a stranger.
3) Simon learns that man is very small and doesn’t make that much of a difference in the world. He learns that the river is always digging the canyon and has been carving out the gorge for longer than he has been around.
4) Claire discovers a small child that is abandoned in the woods. She wants to keep the child and raise it as her own.

9) I think that Claire is the most aware of miracles in life. She sees things the way that they are and is in tune with reality.
10) When Mack helped Simon’s sister out and set him up with a date, because he doesn’t know why he does these things.
11) The friendship between Mack and Simon is an example of a horizon experience. In their friendship there is an element of trust and union. Through their friendship they both experience god.
