Jar ne et Antoine
Il tait une fois une belle femme qui s appelait Jar ne de Pierre. Non, non, le mot belle” n est pas l expression juste pour d crire cette cr ature qu on rencontre normalement seulement dans les fables. Elle avait les cheveux longs et blonds, des yeux bleus et une bouche tr s app tissante. Ses jambes et son sein taient model s d une telle perfection qu ils animaient les phantaisies de tous les hommes qui avaient jamais vu cette beaut . Mais avec toute sa gr ce que Jar ne poss dait, elle avait aussi des qualit s tr s antipathiques. C taient sa vanit norme et son sang-froid qui ne plaisaient pas beaucoup de gens et c tait aussi pour a que Jar ne vivait seule et avait seulement peu d amis. Elle avait eu un p re tr s riche qui tait mort il y a quelques ans et maintenant Jar ne vivait dans une grande maison avec deux servants. Chaque jour elle allait au march pour acqu rir des nouveaux v tements et des accessoires. L , au march , les gens l observaient avec m fiance, murmuraient et se raccontaient des histoires sur elle. On entendait beaucoup d histoires grotesques, par exemple que chaque dimanche Jar ne invitait des jeunes hommes pour s amuser. Mais personne n avait jamais vu ces hommes ou pouvait confirmer la verit de ces histoires.
Mais un jour l attention des gens n tait pas concentr e sur Jar ne, mais sur un homme qu on n avait jamais vu dans ce village. C tait le duc Antoine de Bananase qui venait de Saint-For t. Avec sa figure massive et ses v tements chers il semblait tr s noble et on tait curieux de savoir ce qu il ferait. Il se promenait dans la foule et il examinait les visages de toutes les femmes. Quand il est arriv devant Jar ne, il s est arr t et il a commenc sourire. Qu est-ce que tu veux, tranger?” a dit la belle Jar ne d un air tr s arrogant. Je suis venu ici pour te chercher”, a-t-il r pondu, J ai fait un grand voyage pour vous rencontrer. Je vous aime, Jar ne!” Maintenant tout le monde s est assembl au tour de ces deux et on attendait la r ponse de Jar ne. Qui est-tu? Et pourquoi sais-tu mon nom?” a-t-elle demand . Je suis Antoine Bananase de Saint-For t.” a-t-il r pondu, Je vous connais parce que j ai achet votre portrait il y a des ans. Je l ai accroch au-d ssus de mon lit et je ne pouvait plus vivre sans vous!” C tait vrai, la vaniteuse Jar ne avait vendu des portraits d elle-m me en croyant qu elle tait la plus belle personne du monde. Mais maintenant, sa r action n tait pas du tout flatteuse, elle a dit: Ah! Tu te moques de moi. Je ne veux savoir rien d un dragueur comme tu en es un!” Mais, je vous aime! Je ferais tout pour vous!” a cri Antoine. Tout? Tu as dit que tu ferais vraiment tout pour moi?” a demand Jar ne d un ton un peu provoquant. Oui! Je te dis!” a-t-il r pondu. Alors…tue-moi ce cr tin l -bas!” a-t-elle dit avec une voix froide comme la glace. Sans h siter Antoine a pris son pe et il a poignard le paysan qui s est trouv pr s de lui. Celui-ci est tomb par terre et il est mort l instant. D un moment l autre, tous les gens taitent silentieux et on n entendait aucun bruit. Tout coup, un cri d horreur allait travers la foule. C tait une femme qui a cri : Jules! Il a tu Jules! Maintenant j ai assez de ces nobles! Tuons-les nous! Vive la r volution!” Et comme une bande de loups les autres paysans se sont fonc s sur Antoine et Jar ne et les ont assomm s.
+a, c est dommage pour le lecteur qui voulait savoir comment l histoire entre Jar ne et Antoine finirait. Se seraient-ils pous s? Auraient-ils eu des enfants? Ou bien, Jar ne, n aurait-elle voulu rien savoir du pauvre Antoine? Tout a, nous ne le saurons jamais. Mais, je vous assure: les paysans, s ils ne sont pas morts ils vivent aujourd hui encore.
