Land use in Idaho
Hello. I think that there is about 66% federal land in Idaho and I think that that should go down. What I am trying to say is that the government should give out some of his land. Especially people who are about to retire because they will want a nice comfy space to live. But I don’t think that they should give out all of their land I mean if they did that then they would have no land. I also think that they should let people go places more so by plane than by cars because if every one could get everywhere by cars then that would let more poachers into the wild and also it would let more trashfull people into the forests. Well ok so maybe they have enough places like that I mean I am not saying that they should just block off everything but they should do maybe a little more. Hmmm… I was wondering is trashfull even a word I am not sure I mean I think it is but then again maybe it isn’t. Well spell checker says that it isn’t a word but I think it is. As a matter of fact I am going to go look it up right now. No I don’t think trashfull is a word but oh well I think I will still use trashfull. Maybe it is two words like trash full or maybe it is not trashfull it is trashiness or something like that. OH. I better get back onto the subject. ok, what was I talking about oh yes ok. I mean there will still be poachers but there will not be to many I mean obviously most poachers are just people who like guns and are to lazy to do anything good in there life so they go and they kill. or maybe they are just weird and have an enlarged part of their brain that tells them to kill things so they kill animals. of course they could do it for the fun of it but then again that is just wrong. I can’t think of very much to say I mean I don’t know how I could write 2000 words on Idaho land use. oh well I guess I could talk about the different ways we use Idaho’s land. Like sometimes I go four wheeling riding up in the hills with my family see it is really fun and I have lots of fun yes fun. This year with all of the fires we went up there and we only have one car buff enough to carry our trailers but we have two trailers so we go up come down and go back up. well the first time we went up we saw all of this lightning strike up there but we thought nothing of it and went back down for the second trailer. Well we brought up the second trailer (the one for our ATV’s) and it was raining so we went inside our other trailer. A few hours later it stopped raining so we went outside and we looked over and we could see smoke. well the next day there was this big yellow fire engine across the rode (we were in that prairie above porky pine springs.) Well a few minutes later another one comes up and then these guys get out and run around for a while. Well about an hour later this helicopter flew over and landed over there it had this huge tank under it and it said fire on it. so a few minutes later we thought we should go check out the fire so we did and we decided that the best way to get there was by taking the rode to bostetter. well we were wrong as a matter of fact we got half way there and realized we were going the wrong direction so we turned around and went up deadline ridge. when we got about halfway there we could tell that this thing was huge it was probably about a mile in diameter at least already and it was going in all directions. So we got as close as what was comfortable and we broke lunch and watched you see there was one thing that was just so stupid and that is the fact that until it got onto the sawtooth forest land the fire rangers couldn’t fight it because it was on BLM land so they could only have BLM fire fighters fight it well the only thing that scared them was the fact of loosing cows and also because it was moving towards the casino at an alarming rate. So we sat and watched as the fire moved closer to us just because there was no one to fight it and these walls of flame shot up to about 20 feet sometimes. but we could see people running around a ways away but there was no one fighting it up on the ridge well we eventually left when it was about 3 ridges away from us so we guessed it was about 1 mile away. So we rode home took some pictures and then went to sleep. Oh that reminds me of this other time when we didn’t get back till like 2 in the morning but anyways you will have to ask me about that later it was cool though. ok so where was I ah yes ok so we woke up and those people were still there you know so we went over and asked them and they said that they were the only nonBLM fire fighters that could fight the fight other than the other pilots which included another helicopter and a big fire retardant plane. And I was looking through the binoculars at the fire and all of the sudden I saw a bush spontaneously Combust Instantaneously it was really really cool. but anyways most of the other days after my grandma came up we did nothing until we saw all of these fire dudes go flying by our camp then we hoped on our four wheelers and followed them when we got there we were stunned it was a lot closer to jack pot and it was now in the forest area so they went and fought it. but it had so much momentum and the wind was for it that they couldn’t even stop it. It ended up taking about two more weeks to stop it. I guess it went quite a ways past wine cup. well anyways it was almost there when we left. Well you see our neighbor has a cabin up there and she had to keep in touch with the fire fighters to see how close it was to there cabin so that they new if they need to go up there and take out all of there stuff but she told me that it stopped about 5-10 miles away form there cabin. but anyways that is about all that happened that weekend. Idaho’s land is used for a lot more stuff than just that I mean there are people that go up there and fly to a little strip and land and camp or just stay the day. Then there are backpackers who like to backpack. I have done that quite a bit and it is fun almost all of the time except when you go to the same place twice in one year because it is normally about the same. Man but I still like to go backpacking except I like going to Anasazi stuff more now that is cool we get to ruff it with hardly anything to live off of. The good thing about Idaho is that you can find food almost anywhere in Idaho now like in Egypt there is like no food in the Sahara desert. And in Idaho there is lots of different plants to eat like if you are near water then there is cat tail you can eat any part of the cat tail that you want because it is all edible now if you are in a dryer climate then there is always the roots of cactus and normally there will be some grass. because we live in a mild desert it is very easy to find some food. Well actually I am having one of my anasazi meets this weekend if I go I will be on staff. Other than those I cant think of many ways that Idaho land is used… well I guess there is always farming and daries hey my dad works at Glanbia yeah man they have really good cheese but I still don’t understand why they shanged the name from Avonmore West to Glanbia. I mean I liked Avonmore West better than I like Glanbia Don’t you. Oh you know what is really neat I have this device biult into my word processor so I can count the words by clicking on a button I mean it takes like two seconds like right now I have 1528 words so I will always get exactly 2000 words. But man I am tired and that is the thing about Idaho that we are on mountain home time and they never say like the show will be on so and so mountain home time. Oh and also they use Idaho land for potato growing I mean hey arn’t we named the gem state so why weren’t we named the spud state I mean we grow potato’s lots and lots of potato’s. 10600 is my current about of words see I am just saying this so that you now that you haven’t missed any. Ok let’s see what else do I think about when I here Land use in Idaho oh wait I know there is 34% nonfederal land in Idaho I mean if there is 66% federal land then there must be 34% nonfederal land am I right? So I was thinking that if there is only 34% nonfederal land then how can there be so many houses and people living in Idaho unless they are living on federal land because to me that sounds a little weird. Well 290 more words to go. I mean it sounds to me that there must be a lot of people living on federal land to be 66% federal land I mean that is more than half of Idaho I wonder how much the percentage of land in the other states is federal? I mean that is a big chunk of land I mean what would happen if the government took all of that land and said nope you can’t go there or like they may it so that you had to pay to go anywhere. I mean that would stink bad no I mean that would really stink hardly anyone would camp if that happened especially if the price was really high or something like that I mean no one wants to pay taht much money it is hard enough paying it every once and a while. Like when you go to the bruno sand dunes or something like that. Oh hey that reminds me that I will go to Bruno Sand Dunes on the 22 through the 26 and it will be fun. Another way Idaho land is used is recreation like going camping and lots of stuff like that I mean that is fun and it is recreation even going on a pictnik is fun and recreational. So I will conclude this by saying that there is lots of ways in which Idaho land is used but most of all it is used by means of recreation and just old plane having fun and doing stuff that we all like to do such as camping. I hope you had fun reading my report on Idaho land use and I also hoped that you learned something new. The End
