The movie, Three Soverighens for Sarah, takes place in Salem town during the trials of 1672. Three sisters, Sarah, Mary, and Rebecca were accused of witchcraft. Some young girls thought themselves to believe that the three sisters were bring all the witchcraft to them. The girls continuously did things to make the towns people believe that they were under a sort of spell caused by the sisters. This went on for quiet some time. Soon, there was evidence that the girls were making it all up, but the towns people were so caught up in everything that they didn t pay attention to whether or not the girls could be making everything up. Soon the young girls started to feel really bad about what they were doing. It was too late for them to stop or confess. They would rather see people suffer than for them to get caught and in trouble. As this continues more and more people were being convicted. Once they are convicted, they are put in a jail until the trials. If the verdict is guilty then everyone watch them get hung. Mary and Rebecca, the two sisters, went to trial and were found guilty. The towns , people including the young girls, watched as they were hung. Meanwhile, Sarah, the youngest of the sisters, sits in a shed for a year. She gets very week and sick. Although she is set free, years later she wants to clear her sister s name from the witchcraft book. She goes to a judge and explains the whole thing to him. Hoping he will listen to her and erase her sisters names from the book. As wished, he did. In payment for the lost lives of her sisters, he gave her three sovereigns. He knew that the three coins don t amount to what she lost, but it was the best he could do. As she left on the wagon she held the three gold coins in her hand. After so long she past away, holding on to the three sovereigns.
