Sarah The Dog

Sarah, wanna play fetch?

Grrrr, Woof!

Get yer ball! Go get it!

Woof woof woof!

As her slender, chocolate brown tail wags back and forth as fast as she can move it, she runs laps around the room, searching desperately for her ball like it was the only thing to drink in a desert. She finally finds it underneath the couch where she last left it. She snags the ball and races toward the back door like a Lamborghini at top speed. I open the door and she is so excited she tries to run outside before the door is even half way open and smacks her head on the door. I say to her, Are you ok Sarah? She looks up at me and shakes the dazed look on her face off. Ill take that as a yes.

I open the door again and she waits patiently for me to get outside before she does. Once I get out of the doorway she sprints down the stairs and toward the end of the yard. She gallops toward me and drops the ball at my feet and I throw it back at the end of the yard. Like a zombie chasing after some brains, she races to the end of the yard after it. She speeds back to me and drops the ball at my feet again. I pick it up and pretend to throw it. She takes off after the phantom ball like a dragster in a quarter mile race. Half way down the yard she stops and turns around and looks me in the eyes. Then she starts running around searching for the ball. She sort of looks like a trailer home being tossed around in a tornado, running back and forth across the yard. I hold up the ball and shout her name. She runs back as fast as she can, jumps and hits me in the stomach with her paws. This knocks the wind out of me, I guess I should think twice before tricking this dog again. I chuck the ball once again and she brings it back to me at light speed. I say to her, Good dog Sarah! Wanna go again? Woof!
