The Declaration of Independence
The Declaration of Independence is made up of five distinct parts: the introduction; the preamble; the body, which can be divided into two sections; and a conclusion. The introduction says that the declaration will declare the causes that have made it required for the American colonies to leave the British Empire. Independence is unavoidable and necessary. The preamble explains principles that are described to be “self-evident” by most people in the 18th- century. This document was a move for independence of the 13 colonies to secede from the British.
There were a couple stages in the Declaration of Independence. The document was originally drafted by Thomas Jefferson in June of 1776. The Declaration of Independence is the nation’s most cherished symbol of liberty. It is also one of the most unforgettable pieces that Jefferson did. Jefferson wrote most of the work in the declaration, but not all of it was done by him. He expressed the ideas in the minds and hearts of the American people. The changes to the Declaration of Independence were made by Ben Franklin and John Adams. The resulting version was then submitted to the Congress; and the version that was eventually adopted. . All 13 colonies had signed with their unanimous approval and agreed to this. The Declaration of Independence had been officially adopted on the date of July 4th 1776. It was the clearest call for independence made by the United States in Philadelphia on July 4th.
The Declaration of Independence has created a base for the American government. It declared its independence from the British. Without this declaration, the United States would be a lot different then what is it now. This document started a movement towards independence, and other countries around the world got ideas from this.
